University & Big City

University...ready or not, Here I Come! *gulp*

Toronto... big city.... sarcastic "woo hoo" ... as I try not to cringe. Cringe at what you say? Well, not to get carried away but... at the reality of pavement, high-rises, endless advertisements assaulting you everywhere you go, corporate modge podge, and fast paced everything and everyone I'm about to insert my slower-paced, nature loving, granola self into.

Oh, I know there are parks and patches of grass strewn about for the careful explorer.  There might even be a tree or two that I can lean against from time to time after running for a bus and just missing it. Perhaps at the end of some long university city days I will just need to walk up to a tree, hug it, drown out the surrounding white noise, gaze up into it's branches and remember that life still exists outside of studying.  Yes, little BC mountain climbing feet, you will live to see another hike, another mountain, another summit.  One day, weary eyes, these books will be left behind.. perhaps even burned ceremoniously... and as you watch the ashes rise and get carried away in the wind, you will smile in satisfaction at the degree you now hold (not to be burned) which will help you take one step closer to the dream of opening a Wholeness Centre (for another time and blog).
